Reinstalled Development Tools

For some (unknown) reason, my initial installation of the dev tools got all screwed up. FinallyI got a quiet morning to clean things up. removed everything, deleted target folders, basically restored the pre-installation state
and then installed everything - now step by step, saving the pertinent registry branch after each major step.
Phew, seems to work fine now:-)
